Everyone has their own interpretation of what the verses mean...this is my understanding of them

Mark 4:24

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Proverbs 10:30

The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

John 9:39

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Is that which you see making you blind? Can you see the forest or do the trees get in the way?

You're better off hearing someone inspired by God who is preaching the word rather than someone who is a motivational speaker or a good storyteller like we see in many cases today.

I've sometimes wondered why a sermon has to be prepared in advance. Why can't a pastor/priest recieve inspiration when it's time to teach?

Zechariah 8:17

And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

_____________________________________________

The key to the verse above is "Submit yourselves therefore to God". Once you have fully submitted unto Him, then you can resist the devil.

Deuteronomy 5:24

And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

Know that God lives and talks with His creation. Never doubt it.

The proof is in the fire.

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Isaiah 6:8

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Would we be ready if God asked us this question?
