Everyone has their own interpretation of what the verses mean...this is my understanding of them

Deuteronomy 16:17

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

Let God control your giving.

Luke 20:38

For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Look to the living God to take care of us forever. The least we can do is live for Him today!

Psalm 119:34

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

May God grant each of us the understanding to keep and observe His law with out whole heart.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we confess and truly repent or turn away from our sin. Don't just confess from your mouth...you must confess from the heart.

Ezekiel 33:31 31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Ezekiel 34:16

I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

Jesus' mission in the 1st century didn't include destroying the fat and strong. He fulfilled part of the prophecy written by Ezekiel.

Luke 4:18-20

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

Mark 6:12

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Jesus gave his followers simple instructions to preach.

Why do we try and make the message difficult?

Jeremiah 33:8

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
