Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

With faith is a lifestyle. The "tree of life" is a lifestyle, forsaken by Adam and Eve and a choice yet fulfilled by the blessed. It is this lifestyle of first obedience, caring and mercy along with the fruits of righteousness that are the leaves of the twelve fruits in Rev. 22:2; the "tree" given to the blessed for the benefit of humanity.
